Revista Grande Reportagem

This print campaign was done in 2005, but was discovered by me just yesterday. I cannot speak for the representativeness of numbers, but the association hits you hard, and I'd say, roughly, the percentage sounds about right.
I like the idea, since the connection is quite clear and memorable, love visible stitches.

I love how he manipulated the scenery, created a shot and documented it with total control, as opposed to adding the illustrations via digital method.

Coral LED Lamp
Apr. 5th, 2007 | 11:57 pm
Material: Medium-density Polyethylene
Tools: Exacto Knife, Dollarama LED base
Time spent manufacturing: 30 minutes
Probably the most expensive thing here is the base, which cost me a whopping dollar, plus 3 AAA batteries. I have China to thank for it.

Ad for Card Holder
Mar. 16th, 2007 | 12:54 am

If you've ever had to be in a design/photography program, this is the project that is most fun. Basically, you create a soap opera for a consumer product, its' life span and glamour shot. It took me more trips to the stores than I could ever imagine just to pick this little thing for analysis. I was torn between "dog-bone" shaped paper clip and this $2 dollar beauty.

10-Second Sculpture
Feb. 6th, 2007 | 11:58 pm
location: living room floor
So, this is the project I'm working on at the moment (well, have been for quite a while), and this is what I have to show for it. Now, beware, this is just a prototype. The real model is due in two days and will be definitely posted to redeem my reputation as an industrial designer wannabe.

And possibly the best picture of Philippe Starck I have seen so far
(I had the courtesy of adding his infamous Salif Juice Maker on the left)

music: Infected Mushroom
"Why?" - might you ask. I desperately needed Tatlin's monument in high resolution for the calendar I'm working on at the moment. Couldn't find anything decent on the web, so I drew one. So here, in high res., if anyone needs it = )

Word to the wise, before you design something on paper, make sure your physical disposition allows you to actually make the damn thing. Now, I'm stuck with nearly 90 degree curves, a shamefully thin slice of balsa wood and a steamer from hell.
But the play-value and rad-looking roof rail are just swell!!
